ABOUT:

 

The Qatar Digital Business Awards program awards digital players in Qatar for their service delivery, digital adoption, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The awards program aims to encourage digital organizations to develop their skills, enhance their capabilities and raise their service quality standards to compete regionally and internationally.

Background:

 

The Qatar Digital Business Awards is one of the most prestigious awards for the digital industry in Qatar and comes as part of MICT’s commitment to honor and recognize large corporate entities, SMEs, and startups that have contributed to the development of the digital industry in Qatar during the past year. The awards, celebrated across multiple categories, are open to all companies operating in the digital industry in Qatar.

  • Establish and continue an annual Digital Industry Recognition and Rewarding Program.
  • Identify and promote the major achievements of the MNCs and local Digital industry players.
  • Increase the competition levels in the local Digital Market.
  • Support the growth and expansion of Qatar’s Digital sector by enhancing the standards and quality of services and abilities of the local Digital Market players.
  • Address and empower the initiatives of MCIT’s Digital Society, such as Digital Entrepreneurship, eCommerce, and SME Digital Adoption.
  • Identify excellence in technology adoption and innovation in the five (5) Sectors of TASMU.
  • Accelerate moving towards a knowledge-based economy and Assist in the development of Innovation within the local Digital market of the State of Qatar.
  • Assist the State of Qatar at becoming a regional hub for technology.

Terms and Conditions:

 

  • Award categories are open to only Qatari-founded companies. “Smart Solution of the Year” award is exempted from this condition.
  • Submissions should be based on achievements made during 2022-2023
  • Only one winner for each category will be awarded
  • One company can apply in all categories but cannot win in more than one category
  • Any missing mandatory information will result in rejection and rejections will not be informed during the evaluation process
  • Reaching out to any judges will be considered a disqualification
  • All material submitted will remain confidential
  • The judges reserve the right to amend category selections where appropriate
  • The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry not accompanied by the appropriate supporting documentation
  • The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging
  • No feedback on the submissions will be provided
  • Entries not made through the on-line submission system will not be accepted
  • The winners of each category will be announced during the award distribution ceremony and on MCIT social media channels
  • Closing date for entries is 17th of January 2024 (Extended date) and entries received after the final closing date will not be accepted
